Wire Transfers

Home Federal provides both incoming and outgoing wire transfers as a service to our customers.

Incoming wires are used to deposit funds into a Home Federal Checking Account.  These wires are routed to go through the Federal Home Loan Bank of Topeka, Kansas.  Therefore, specific information is required and needs to be provided in the following order:

  1. Midwest Independent Bank, Jefferson City MO
  2. ABA Routing Number:  086 505 273
  3. To Credit Home Federal/Grand Island
  4. Account Number:  750-897
  5. For Final Credit to:
         Customer:  _______________________________
         Account Number:  __________________________

Outgoing wires are used to deposit funds into an account in another bank.  These wires also require specific information, which needs to be provided in the following order:

  1. Name of customer requesting the wire transfer and the Home Federal account number where the funds will be taken out of.
  2. Name of the bank where the funds will be deposited.
  3. The ABA Routing Number of the bank where the funds will be deposited (always 9 digits).
  4. Beneficiary's name and his/her account number with the bank where the funds are to be deposited.
  5. For wires over $3,000.00 we must also have the sender's address and the beneficiary's address.

(The best procedure is to call the bank where the beneficiary's account is located and ask for their wiring instructions.)

Wire Fees:  There is a $7.50 fee for incoming wires and a $15.00 fee for outgoing wires.
